May 8th Mother’s Day Weekend Plant Sale

From this....

Left Foot Organics will be hosting its annual spring plant sale at the farm on Saturday, May 8, from 10am to 3pm. A wide selection of vegetable starts, herbs, native plants and flowers will be ready for your garden and for beautiful Mothers Day gifts.

Left Foot Organics is a local nonprofit organization helping people with intellectual disabilities and rural youth to gain job and life skills while growing good food for their community.

Now in its eighth year, Left Foot offers paid employment experience and is committed to provide the support each individual needs to overcome their challenges and be successful. All the proceeds from the plant sale go toward supporting Left Foot’s vocational and life skills employment and training program for people with intellectual disabilities and rural youth.

....to this! Some Good Old-Fashioned, Hand-Made Advertising!

Bring Mom to the farm to pick out everything she’ll need to get the garden started. If your garden beds aren’t ready yet, there is still something for you at the sale. Try a salad bowl, pre-planted for a supply of greens that will last into the fall. Eggs from Left Foot’s flock, tote bags and cookbooks will also be available. Vegetable lovers may also support Left Foot by signing up for a CSA share ($450 at the farm, $495 for in town delivery) and receive a box of fresh produce grown on the farm each week from June through October.

Left Foot crew members will be giving tours of the farm all day. There is plenty of parking at the farm, and the sale area is wheelchair accessible.
